Hi,

Welcome to Karen's page!  I hope I can somehow be used to encourage you wherever you are in your life, to be all that God created you to be!  I hope and pray that my passion for life will bless you in some way.  God has awesome plans for you -- don't settle for anything less than His best for you!  I'd love to hear from you -- email me!

My Life Verse: Hebrews 4:9-11--"There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his.  Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest . . ."

<-- 22 years of marital bliss (well, maybe not bliss, but it's been awesome!)

My greatest loves are the Lord Jesus Christ, Paul, and my six beautiful children!  I love to worship God, pray, date my husband & children, help other leaders, read books (often aloud), mess around on the computer, teach the children, do family stuff, serve at our wonderful church in any way I can, hang out with friends, enjoy God's creation at our fire pit, go for walks and hikes, email hundreds of friends all over the world, encourage others in prayer / home schooling / adoption, research anything and everything, garden, eat outside, write songs, dream about one day completing some creative photo albums :) . . .]  I can't wait to go to Russia again!

Yeah, yeah, I know, it sounds exhausting, but really, when you enter God's rest, He gives you strength to do what He wants you to do, and the other stuff doesn't really matter!  Below are some other Bible verses that God has spoken to me through most profoundly during the course of my life . . .

Isaiah 62:6 - 7--"You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth."

Ezekiel 22:30--"I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land . . ."

Matthew 13:44-46--"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.  "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls.  When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it."

Proverbs 8:34-35--"Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway.  For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the LORD."

Psalm 46:10--"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

Psalm 1:1-3--"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.  But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.  He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers."

Deuteronomy 33:12--"Let the beloved of the LORD rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the LORD loves rests between his shoulders."

Hosea 11:4--"I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love; I lifted the yoke from their neck and bent down to feed them."

2 Corinthians 10:4-5--"The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.  We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."

Ezekiel 37:5-6--"This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.  I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life.  Then you will know that I am the LORD."

Ezekiel 37:14--"I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land.  Then you will know that I the LORD have spoken, and I have done it, declares the LORD."
