Hug a Tree (thank you, Marshmallo and Bastille!)

Aren’t trees wonderful? They are such a source of joy in countless ways. Let’s take time to rest, step out of our busyness, slow down, be patient, be grateful for all of the myriad gifts in life, thank God that He’s still here even right in our messes, and hug a tree today. Thank you, Marshmello and Bastille, for your great music! May God bless you, protect you, and give you peace!
Music: “Happier” (Marshmello and Bastille)
Words by me: Lately, I’ve been, I’ve been thinking I really want to hug a tree, I really want to hug a tree. On a forest walk, when I find a tree to hug in the cold light of day, it will lower my blood pressure, release some good hormones. Less anxiety, that’s what a tree hug gives. And with all that has happened, I think that we all need some more positivity. Then, only for a minute, I wrap my arms around, and this just feels so right to me. Trees always raise our spirits. They always make us smile, gifting us with fruits and leaves. Such a source of joy, these trees! Lately, I’ve been, I’ve been thinking I really want to hug a tree, I really want to hug a tree. Taking time to rest, stepping out of our busyness helps us slow down, be patient, be grateful for all of the myriad gifts in life. ’Cause we run so fast, we pretend that we’re okay. If we take time to be still, at least God’s still here, even right in the mess we’ve made. So, let’s go, let’s go. We can hug, hug, hug. So, let’s go, let’s go. We can hug, hug, hug. Lately, I’ve been, I’ve been thinking I really want to hug a tree, I really want to hug a tree. Even if its bark needs healing, I really want to hug a tree, I really want to hug a tree. Then, only for a minute, I wrap my arms around, and this just feels so right to me. Trees always raise our spirits. They always make us smile, gifting us with fruits and leaves. Such a source of joy, these trees!
