Come Rest Awhile (thank you, Depeche Mode!)

Jesus invites us to come to him (Matthew 11:28), to give him our burdens (1 Peter 5:7, Psalm 55:22), and to rest awhile (Mark 6:31). A simple walk in creation is a great place to meet God in inner stillness and solitude. God is always faithful to restore our ragged souls. Thank you, Depeche Mode, for your great music! May God bless you, protect you, and give you peace!

Music: “Never Let Me Down Again” (Depeche Mode)

Video footage is our own, taken on beautiful walks in Bar Harbor, Maine and Odiorne Point State Park, New Hampshire.

Words by me: I’m taking a walk in creation. I hope it lifts my spirits up again. Solitude is so good for me. Stillness helps me be more healthy. I’m taking a walk in creation. Come, rest awhile. Stop running – the world can pass you by. Things rarely settle down! Jesus calls you: come and lay all your burdens on down.
