Playback Time (thank you, Britney Spears!)

Time . . . priceless and irreplaceable. It’s good to reflect on how we’re investing our minutes / hours / days as we approach the end of another year. I’ve included many time-related idioms in this video, along with a favorite clip from Mr. Bean’s Holiday (thank you, Rowan Atkinson). Thank you, Britney Spears, for your great music! May God bless you, protect you, and give you peace!

Music: “Baby One More Time” (Britney Spears)

Words by me: Well, in the long run, how were we supposed to know that time still waits for no one? Once in a blue moon, we realize that time still flows and goes right out of sight, yeah. We know a stitch in time will save nine. Dubiously, we still think that we can beat the clock. The nick of time beats the deadline, and we must confess, time really flies (really flies). When the eleventh hour comes right on time, could we rewind? Only when it’s playback time! Time is so precious – boom, gone in the blink of an eye. Boy, that sure reminds us of precious memories – they’re simply irreplaceable. There’s no way we could plan them. Sand keeps slipping through the hourglass. Impossibly, we still think that we can turn back time. The nick of time beats the deadline (and we) we must confess, time really flies (really flies). When the eleventh hour comes right on time, could we rewind? Only when it’s playback time! Time moves so quickly! Better late than never! Well, in the long run, how were we supposed to know? Once in a blue moon, we realize that time still flows. We must confess that the nick of time still beats the deadline. Don’t we know time really flies? Now it is high time, so, could we rewind? Only when it’s playback time! The nick of time beats the deadline (and we) we must confess, time really flies (really flies). When the eleventh hour comes right on time, could we rewind? Only when it’s playback time!
