39th anniversary

Paul & I are celebrating our 39th anniversary today – woohoo! – remembering God’s abundant grace poured out on the last day of spring down under in 1985! We’ve been best friends for 44 years, fell madly in love along the way, dedicated ourselves to God’s service, poured ourselves into six priceless treasures whom the Lord entrusted to us to help them to be and do all that the Lord created them to be and do, welcomed and worked to nurture community, delighted in loving those our loved ones love, studied together / worked together / ministered together / partnered together in every imaginable way, and now we are astounded that we get to experience the joy of being grandparents … we LOVE doing life together! I chose to wear my sunflower top today in honor of Paul’s most enduring nickname, given to him by a stranger shortly after we became close friends – “sunshine” – that’s who Paul is to me … And I love him!
