Manage Your Emotions (thank you, Little Eva!)

We all need to work on managing our emotions because we’re human. I hope this catchy song along with some practical tips on how to manage anger is helpful in these turbulent times. I’m not convinced these steps are easy, though they’re definitely worth practicing because anger has the potential to do much harm if not handled with care. Thank you, Little Eva, for your great music! May God bless you, protect you, and give you peace!

Music: “The Loco-Motion” (Little Eva)

Words by me: Everybody’s got a chance to vent or rant now. (Come on, baby, manage your emotions.) We know it’s hard to unsay what we’ve blurted right out now. (Come on, baby, manage your emotions.) With social media we can all do it with ease, then autocorrect jumbles up our A B C’s. So come on, come on, manage your emotions, kindly. We gotta watch our lips now. Come on, baby, take time, use tact. Well, I think we’ve got the knack, whoa, whoa. Yes, we’ve all been through—it, let’s build a bridge now. (Come on, baby, manage your emotions.) A chug-a chug-a what’s it most important to say now? (Come on, baby, manage your emotions.) Speak truth graciously and please don’t lose control – a little bit of rhythm and a lot of soul. So come on, come on, manage your emotions, kindly. (instrumental) Hey, yeah, yeah, yeah. Let’s change the conversation in a locomotion. (Come on, baby, manage your emotions.) Do it holding hands if you do get the notion. (Come on, baby, manage your emotions.) There’s never been a change that seems so easy to do. Words could even make us happy when we’re feeling blue. So come on, come on, manage your emotions, kindly.
