Camellia (thank you, Simon & Garfunkel!)

Camellias, known as “winter roses”, are one of my favorite winter flowers. They bring joy each day when the weather is cold and sometimes a bit dreary. We planted this one when we moved here 23 years ago. I hope they brighten your day, too! Thank you, Simon & Garfunkel, for your great music! May God bless you, protect you, and give you peace!

Music: “Cecilia” (Simon & Garfunkel)

Words by me: Camellia, you’re flowering again. You’re beautiful, blossoming daily. Oh, Camellia, I’m ever so pleased. I’m thankful you thrive here at home. Camellia, you’re flowering again. You’re beautiful, blossoming daily. Oh, Camellia, I’m ever so pleased. I’m thankful you thrive here at home (here at home). Rose of winter, japonica, you’re the state flower of Alabama. You bring joy when there’s not much sun – red and white, pink and rose, blush and crimson. Camellia, you’re flowering again. You’re beautiful, blossoming daily. Oh, Camellia, I’m ever so pleased. I’m thankful you thrive here at home (here at home). oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Jubilation! You’re blooming again! I look to the sky and start spinning. Jubilation! You’re blooming again! I look to the sky and start spinning. oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
