Chocolate Caramel Coconut Slice
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup coconut flakes
- 10 T butter, melted
- 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 2 T molasses
- 2 T extra butter
- 1 cup baking chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350F. Line a 9 x 9 pan with parchment paper.

Combine flour, sugar, coconut and melted butter. Mix well. Press into the prepared pan and bake for 10 minutes.

While the bottom layer is baking, combine condensed milk, molasses, and extra butter in a saucepan. Stir over medium heat until almost boiling, stirring constantly. Reduce to low and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour caramel over bottom layer and bake for a further 10 minutes. Allow to cool.

Melt the chocolate chips, then spread over the top of the cooled bottom and middle layers. Refrigerate until set. Cut into pieces, then serve. Enjoy this Aussie dessert!
