Coronavirus and C. S. Lewis

Here’s a brilliant and timely quote from C. S. Lewis (thanks Michael) that I want to pass along as an encouragement to all of you today. I’ve taken the liberty of replacing “bomb” or “atomic bomb” (the prevalent fear of the day when he penned this) with “Coronavirus” and adjusting a few pronouns – “The first action to be taken is to pull ourselves together. If we are all going to be destroyed by Coronavirus, let it when it comes find us doing sensible and human things—praying, working, teaching, reading, listening to music, bathing the children, playing tennis, chatting to our friends over a pint and a game of darts—not huddled together like frightened sheep and thinking about Coronavirus. It may break our bodies but it need not dominate our minds.” Life is hard, God is good, let’s dance!
