End of an era (but there was 1 more year!)

Today marks the end of an era – 22 years of Sculley Academy (“Excellence, Virtue, Relationship”) – approximately 4000 days of formal school time teaching Peter, Jonathan, Michael, Cascade, Esther, Karis, Abigail, Savannah, and 62 students in Sculley Academy Math Club (2002-07). Little did I know back in 1996 when I sat Peter on my knee with “Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons” at our dining room table in our old house around the corner that I’d be in for this long a ride with so many stories, field trips, experiences, discoveries, challenges, celebrations. I’ve had so many adventures in learning along the way – I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to learn alongside my kids and encourage them along their way. My heart is full of treasured memories. Our house is full of zillions of books! I’m so proud of each one of my children, and Paul & I are enjoying being the parents of a bunch of great young adults. I’m now looking forward to the next season of my life. No surprise to all who know me that it will be eclectic 🙂The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” (Psalm 126:3)
