Jesus, You’re the Lord of my life! (thank you, The Beatles!)

In honor of Pentecost Sunday this weekend (50 days after Easter / the outpouring of the Holy Spirit / the birthday of the Church / Acts 2), here’s a song of praise to God, to remind ourselves of who He is. One of the main elements I chose was a rushing river, which is a reference to the water of life. Come taste and see that the Lord is good! Thank you, The Beatles, for your great music. May God bless you, protect you, and give you peace!

Music: “Got to get you into my life” (The Beatles)

Words by me: We’re not alone, God’s at our side. We’re overwhelmed, but You are with us! Your Kingdom come, Your will be done right here on earth just as in heaven! Ooh, when we suddenly see You, ooh, Your power and presence break through every single day of our life! You sometimes show, You sometimes hide. You said You just wanted to hold us. What You’re about, You knew in time about our world, for You had told us. Ooh, we are meant to be near You. Ooh, and You want us to hear You. Glad we are together every day. God, You are the Lord of my life! You have me do, You have me be. When I’m with You, I want to stay there. You are so true – You’ll never leave, and when You move, You are the way there. Ooh, when we suddenly see You, ooh, Your power and presence break through every single day of our life! God, You are the Lord of my life! Jesus, You’re the Lord of my life!
