Please, No Pandemic Shame (thank you, America!)

A simple song with a simple message today. We’ve all been through a lot – instead of pandemic shame, let’s offer hope, share our time, and give peace to everyone as we have opportunity. Long days, weeks, months of pandemic take their toll on us all. We need to nurture our souls as well as our bodies . . . this song includes some suggestions – as often as possible, get out in nature (plants, birds, rocks, springs), reach out, learn new skills, spend a little time in the sun (with sun protection), and enjoy beauty like kaleidoscopes! Thank you, America, for your great music. May God bless you, protect you, and give you peace!

Music: “A horse with no name” (America)

Words by me: In the first part of Corona, we were grateful for all of life. There were plants and birds and rocks and springs. It was grand – new skills and things. The first thing we learned was to talk on a screen and to keep the germs away. “It won’t take long,” everybody hoped, but it’s continued for nights and days. We’ve all been through a lot – please, no pandemic shame. It feels good to be out in the sun. Alone too much, we tend to lash out and blame, so, let’s reach out and share some hope with someone. La, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la. La, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la. After long days of seeing no one, our thoughts can wander around. After long weeks of isolation, lots of chatter becomes unsound. And then stories are sold and tales are told that make us feel so helpless and bound. We’ve all been through a lot – please, no pandemic shame. It feels good to be out in the sun. Alone too much, we tend to lash out and blame, so, let’s reach out and share some time with someone. La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la. La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la. After long months, we all need new ways to thrive ’cause we don’t know how long this will last. Enjoy plants and birds and rocks and springs. Try our hand at new skills and things. Many people are hurting, with their lives all askew. It’s them, not ourselves, to think of. We need hateful talk to discontinue – everybody just needs some love. We’ve all been through a lot – please, no pandemic shame. It feels good to be out in the sun. Alone too much, we tend to lash out and blame, so, let’s reach out and share some peace with someone. La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la. La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la. La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la. La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la.
