Praise and Worship

We love to worship Jesus, who is worthy to be praised! We begin every school day with 20 minutes or so of musical worship, during which we dance in celebration, bow down on our faces, or raise our hands in adoration. Some songs are loud and exciting, others are quieter and more contemplative. The point is, connecting with God is the first priority of the day. We invite the Holy Spirit to be present among us (in one sense, He is always with us–I’m speaking here of His manifest presence). As we come near to Him, He comes near to us (James 4:8). After we spend time exalting God and declaring His praises, we read His word, the Bible, and spend time praying (interceding and waiting on Him).

Some of our children take special dance classes to learn how to use their bodies in praise & worship of God. M did that for one year; C has taken 5 years of classes in that, and knows that God has called her to dance for Him (she came to me at age 5 and told me Jesus had spoken to her about that); E & K have taken 1 year of classes for praise & worship.
