Terminological Inexactitudes (thank you, Beastie Boys!)

I heard this great phrase recently that someone used as a tongue-in-cheek way of identifying a lie they’d encountered. Terminological inexactitudes – none of us like to be lied to. I messed around with distortion on the vocals as much as possible to convey that. And I included clips from one of my all-time favorite BBC shows ever – “Yes, Minister” / “Yes, Prime Minister.” Incidentally, a “Spalding” is simply a tennis ball (as always, I try to borrow lyrics from the original song). Thank you, Beastie Boys, for your great music! May God bless you, protect you, and give you peace!

Music: “Gratitude” (Beastie Boys)

Words by me: Trusted leaders, how we miss them – so much wrong with world systems. Lies that bounce like a Spalding. Deceits, distortions – they’re so appalling. Claims are made just based on feelings. When did truth get unappealing? Terminological inexactitudes – they’re not right! Speak the truth – we can feed it. Speak in love – we really need it. One more thing – do you know you? Stop and think, be humble and true. What’s gonna set you free? The truth inside, you’ll see. Ditch terminological inexactitudes – say things right!
